GOVERNANCE AND STANDARDS

Monitoring standard definition for a group

Defining what a group measures and how, so new sites are instrumented to a standard.

01WHAT WE MONITOR

Groups accumulate monitoring the way they accumulate plants: one vendor per site, chosen locally, with no common definitions. Ten years later there are fourteen systems and no way to compare two plants without manual work.

We define what the group measures, at what accuracy, at what frequency, stored in what form — as a written standard a new site or an acquisition is instrumented against. It covers naming, tag structure, calibration intervals and data retention.

The standard is deliberately vendor neutral. A standard that can only be met by one supplier's equipment is a procurement decision wearing a standard's clothes.

02HOW WE ENGAGE
Nothing here is sold from a shelf

Two plants running the same process need different instrumentation, so we survey before we specify and specify before we price. Tell us about the facility and we will come back with a scope stating what is supplied and where our responsibility ends.
