SECTOR

Technical services

Surveys, audits, testing and calibration bought by plants across every sector, whether or not we installed anything.

01WHAT WE DO HERE

Not every problem needs a monitoring system. Sometimes a plant needs a number once — a consent gap assessed, an energy figure established, a bearing checked before a shutdown, an instrument certified before an audit.

These are the engagements that usually come first. A plant that has never worked with us buys a survey before it buys a system, and a plant that has one already still needs its instruments calibrated and its emissions certified.

We deliver them as standalone work with a written report, whether or not any equipment follows. Where a survey finds something that would be better solved by continuous monitoring we say so, and where it finds nothing worth instrumenting we say that too.

Certification and traceability matter here more than anywhere else on this site, because the deliverable is the evidence rather than the equipment. Where accreditation is required we state which body holds it and for which parameters, before the engagement begins.

0240 OPERATIONS

Environmental compliance

Consent conditions are written in numbers, and increasingly those numbers must be measured continuously rather than sampled.

Occupational health and safety

The exposures that injure people over years are the ones nobody measures, because nothing happens on the day.

Energy and utilities

Energy is the second largest controllable cost in most plants and the least measured at the point it is consumed.

Condition monitoring and reliability

Rotating equipment gives warning before it fails. Most plants run hundreds of machines and listen to none of them.

Testing and inspection

Independent evidence that a part, a weld or a material is what the specification says it is.

Calibration and validation

A measurement is only as good as the evidence the instrument was working when it was taken.

Water and effluent

Treatment plants are judged on discharge quality and run on assumptions about what is actually arriving.

Engineering and project services

The work around a deployment: what to install, whether it will work, and who keeps it running afterwards.
